Sports and Remedial Massage

How do sessions work?

Sessions will always begin with an assessment to discuss what you would like to achieve and analyse the areas of your body to be treated. Massage is carried out on a specialist couch and whilst you will be asked to remove clothing to underwear or a pair of shorts, towels are used to both cover you up and keep you warm during the massage.

A variety of friction and stretching techniques will then be used in the course of the massage. As these are techniques treating the deep tissues of the body, some may cause you slight discomfort, but invariably clients describe it as a “good pain”.

After this we will then re-assess the areas treated and decide a plan going forward. In some instances a single session will be enough to correct problems, but in other instances a regular massage session is required to maximise the benefits.
