I am delighted to say that the Government has finally recategorised Sports Therapy and Sports Massage Therapy under the "Healthcare Professionals" section for the purposes of the current lockdown. This means that I can still work through this lockdown period in November and early December on the understanding that I meet the PPE and cleaning requirements which I already have in place. In addition, there must be a clinical reason for your treatment - please contact me before booking an appointment if you have any doubts on this.

For any appointment, I would ask that you continue to observe the following:

If you show any of the symptoms associated with the Coronavirus such as fever, shortness of breath or a cough, please let me know and we will postpone your appointment. Please don't feel guilty about cancelling at the very last minute, I would far rather we all do our bit to keep everyone safe instead of worrying about people not showing up for appointments.

Similarly, if you have recently been in contact with someone who had symptoms of the coronavirus at the time or in the seven days afterwards then please let me know and we will postpone your appointment.

VERY IMPORTANTLY, I WOULD ASK THAT:

If you have visited me within the previous 14 days and have since been diagnosed as having contracted Coronavirus, or have been in proximity to someone who has been diagnosed as having contracted the virus, I would ask that you please make me aware so that I can take necessary action.

For myself, I will be using paper couch roll on the massage table for all clients as well as changing towels for each appointment. I will continue with normal hygiene protocols which include thoroughly disinfecting the face cradle, as well as areas like door handles, between each client, extended washing of hands in line with government advice as well as using an alcohol gel for my hands.

If you have any queries at all about safe treatment whilst we're all concerned about Coronavirus, then please feel free to call or email me. Also, if you currently have an injury but are in self isolation or choosing to reduce your contact with others feel free to get in touch and I will try to offer as much advice as possible about how you can safely treat yourself.
