Sports Solutions at forthcoming events

In keeping with my own passion for Endurance events and ultra marathons I will be providing post event massage at several forthcoming highlights of the ultramarathon calendar.

November 6th - 8th sees the running of the inaugural Druid Challenge. This three day race will cover 82 miles along the Ridgeway from Ivinghoe Beacon in Buckinghamshire to Avebury in Wiltshire. I will be offering massages each evening as the runners bid to recover from a marathon each day and get ready to toe the start line again the next day. The massage sessions will be set up in blocks of 15 minutes for a charge of £10 each block.

Later in the year, on December 5th, ultra-marathon enthusiasts will be descending on South Wales for the Brecons ultra. This is a challenging 45 mile run through the Brecon Beacons National Park and is organised by the team at Likeys. Once again I will be offering massage at the finish line on a first come first served basis, to help the runners recover from their endeavours. In addition I will also be offering massages the morning after the race, and runners should contact me to book a slot for this. The massage sessions will be set up in blocks of 15 minutes for a charge of £10 each block, and for the morning after massages, runners can have a maximum of three consecutive blocks so that I can see as many people as possible.

If you organise your own event and would like to offer your clients a post event sports massage service, then please feel free to contact me and I will see if I can help. Whilst the majority of events that I cover are based locally in Berkshire and Oxfordshire, my enthusiasm for endurance events in general and ultramarathons in particular means that I am more than happy to travel around the country to work at such races.

Before both of these races though, August 29th will see me at the start of the 85 mile Ridgeway Challenge. However, in this instance I will be wearing a race number and hoping to reach the finish of what will be my longest single stage race to date. I'm not certain who will be providing the massage at the finish line, but I am certain that I will be collapsing onto their massage couch if I can successfuly finish what is sure to be a really tough Bank Holiday weekend.
